Rockwood Guest Bedroom Reveal

Rockwood Guest Bedroom Reveal

Design

We are rounding up our tour of the Rockwood Project and exploring this charming and inviting guest suite. We wanted to create function and beauty within this space and throughout the guest suite. We know our clients love hosting family and we wanted to ensure this space created a private retreat that guests could consider a place of their own.

We love how charming this space is and having its own exterior door is a detail that we just can’t get enough of. We had fun with lots of natural light in this space and played off of that with the light colored furnishings. We also love the touches of black in the door, the light fixtures and hanging sconces over the bed that help ground the space and bring a mix of functionality and fun. Creating an airy, light and bright space is our natural design aesthetic and we loved incorporating that into this bright, feminine space.

One of my favorite pieces in this room is this grey side table. It is the perfect piece that blends functionality and intention with charm and beauty. I love this campaign style side table, it has the most beautiful hardware with a warm brass finish. I also love the Burlwood dresser, it has a really great look of texture but is smooth. Burlwood infuses a traditional element and a vintage style. This piece is one of our favorites that we carry in the HS Store, and is a piece that fits so many design styles.

Because we wanted to create a space that was a private retreat, we knew we wanted to make the bathroom special. We love the simplicity and warmth of the cabinetry in this space and how beautifully the hardware pairs with the sconces. We included a beautiful and lux layering of rugs in the bathroom that we think really add a little charm. Speaking of charm, the tiles in the shower bring so much to this bathroom, blending warm and cool tones and a touch of drama, this shower is beautiful.

Details like a designated seating area for company really make this space stand out from other guest rooms. Layers of texture in the seating area, on the bed and on the rug make a cozy retreat and space to unwind after a long day of travel. We love bringing in beautiful bedding textures and linens into this space. The bedding, pillow and these beautiful rugs invite a welcoming and comfortable feeling.

All of the furnishings and accessories are available at the HS store. Styling accessories and furnishings can feel overwhelming at times, reach out today for help styling your favorite HS pieces or to start your next project! We love helping clients from A to Z.
