HS Project: BORDEAUX PROJECT
This week we're taking you out to the beautiful Texas countryside for a look at one of our remodel projects - our Bordeaux Project! This French-inspired home sits on a stunning acreage surrounded by wineries setting the scene for the organic, European details and textures that are found throughout the home. We really wanted to celebrate texture in this home and got creative with every little detail such as the carpentry on the walls, countertop selections, tone-on-tone elements, statement lighting and hand-crafted artisan tile that helped to incorporate that old-world feel. One of our favorite moments from this remodel project is the seamless transition from the primary bedroom into the bathroom. In both spaces, you're greeted with warm tones and a blend of textures and unique details that play off one another to create a lovely design that flows from space to space. It's been really exciting to work on this project alongside our wonderful clients and see their home transform throughout the remodel process - see below for the before photos. HS Update: DALLAS MORNING NEWS PRESS FEATURE
We're so excited to share a recent press feature from the Dallas Morning News where we sat down to talk about our tips for styling your home with pieces inspired by travel. You may or may not know, but Tyson and I spent a few years living abroad and have traveled to several countries - Italy being one of our favorites. I've picked up so much inspiration throughout all of our travels and have found that I tend to incorporate that inspiration into many of our designs here at HS. Whether it's a color scheme inspired by the Mediterranean or textures replicating those found at an Italian street market, this was such a fun piece to be a part of as travel is near and dear to my heart and has played such a big part in the curation of our assortment at the HS Store and our design projects. INSPIRED BY: BACK TO SCHOOL
We recently took a trip to Marble Falls with Tyson's family and we had the best time soaking in the sunshine and spending time with family! I always love it when we can escape the city with our kids and enjoy being in nature while taking part in some fun water activities with the whole family. While we were there, we also took some new family photos! It was such a fun trip to celebrate the end of the summer with one "last splash" with extended family before the school year started up again!
