Up Your Shelf Game

Up Your Shelf Game

We posted about a kitchen awhile back and got TONS of questions about the floating shelves. And we get why, they look SO good!!

I’m sure any of you that have had floating shelfs built know how hard it is to find the right one. When we started working with various builders their trim guys would make floating shelves for us but they would be three inches thick and would look SO incredibly heavy hanging on the walls. Not the look we were going for. (If you’re going for the thicker look, ignore everything else I say! :) ) You know what i’m talking about..

We decided to look for an option that would be thinner than the 3” options our trim guys had, but also could carry the weight of the items we wanted to display. We’re all about functionality here. If it doesn’t help or serve a real purpose, we don’t encourage our clients to go that route. At the end of the day, it may make for a great photo, but if it doesn’t help their daily life, then we didn’t do our clients justice.

The good news is, nowadays, there are beautiful options for just about EVERYTHING! Now we only use one option for floating shelves. That my friend’s is Shelfology. We even used them in our very own studio.

Askel Shelf with White Oak Slab, by Shelfology

We decided to go with the Askel Shelf System for our studio. We loved the white oak option that they offer, so that what we went with. These guys are UBBER strong and super easy to mount. We have gotten so many questions from people about them that we knew we had to share with everyone!

We highly recommend them. Not only do they look amazing, they meet our demands for highly functional, so we give them an A+ rating! I mean, come on! Check out that stunning wood slab! Makes me get all the heart eyes!

Check them out! They are 15% off site wide right now with code: COVIDSUCKS so if you’re feeling like a fixer upper project for your house, get started! You won’t regret it! Shop the look here!
