Get The Look Moody Kitchens

At House Sprucing, we are always going to love a light, bright, and airy white kitchen. It’s a classic for a reason, right? In the design world, however, moody and atmospheric kitchens are having a moment and we’re loving incorporating the look into our client’s designs. Today, we’re sharing some of our top tips for adding a moody vibe to your kitchen, while still creating a timeless look that will look great for years to come.

-Use a dark green as a neutral.

Green as a neutral is one of the biggest design trends we’re seeing lately. If you aren’t ready to commit to black or dark grey in the kitchen, green is a great way to add an atmospheric, moody vibe.

-Paint the bottom of your cabinets dark, while leaving the uppers white.

One of our favorite ways to incorporate a moody feeling, while still creating our signature ‘light, bright, and airy’ feeling, is to leave upper cabinets white and paint the bottoms a dark grey or black. This is high impact and will look great for years to come.

-Add in wood elements

Natural wood is having a moment, especially for fans of transitional style. We love pairing it with black hardware, for a kitchen that will look great for years to come.
