2021 Design Trends We Love
At House Sprucing, we call our style ‘the new traditional’ - we love to create spaces that you’ll love, for years to come. We do that by keeping an eye on the latest design trends, and incorporating them into your home in a way that feels timeless, not trendy.
We wanted to share some of the favorite design trends that we’ve been seeing in the industry lately!
Rich, bold colors:
Gone are the days of all-white everything, everywhere in your home! Mixing in warm colors to create a moodier space adds an extra level of cozy, and helps elevate the design.

Sculptural furnishings is a great way to incorporate a more modern look into your home. This trend things about furniture as an art focal piece of the room, that everything else is centered around.

Unique hardware:
It’s all about those details! Unique hardware is a staple of House Sprucing design. We love to use unique pieces you won’t see anywhere else, to really set your home apart. Think about adding different textures, mixing metals, using nostalgic one-offs, and more to set hardware apart. Hardware is like jewelry on furniture and it can really help set the design apart!

Natural stone:
Bringing the outdoors in is a design trend that we don’t see going anywhere. The newest way to do this isn’t just greenery, but bringing in elements on natural stone for added texture and warmth to surprise areas like walls in a bathroom or using it in lieu of backsplash in a kitchen.

We are seeing curves everywhere from arches to kitchen islands in furnishings and more. We love the softening effect curves bring. Anytime you add an extra shape or angle to an overall design it only makes it more interesting and unique!
