A site visit to our A to Z Oakwood Project, getting excited for the Better Homes & Gardens Style Maker Event & finding inspiration in the beauty of sunflower season.

HS Project: OAKWOOD PROJECT

Come along for a site visit at our Oakwood Project! This is a gorgeous new construction home that sits on an incredible acreage of land here in Dallas with the prettiest landscape of rolling hills and lush trees. Even though it sits within city limits, it feels as though you've been transported to the countryside.

We've been working with an extremely talented team on this project, Thomas Development & Construction and Harper Design Projects, and it's been so rewarding to work together to bring our clients' dream home to life. We loved having the opportunity to go onsite and see this project starting to take shape as we've begun the construction process. A lot of the time we're in the design phase for months and months before the hammer hits the wood so it's fun to start seeing our designs being put into action.

While we're excited about the entire home, there's a few spaces we really wanted to hone in on. One of those spaces is the great room as it features a large wall of windows and really speaks to indoor/outdoor living - it's going to be so pretty, we can't wait for you to see it complete! Over in the craft room, we sourced the most darling wallpaper to bring joy and sunshine into this space to spark creativity. As a design team, we're thrilled that our clients are incorporating a creative space into their home and can't wait for them to utilize this space!

Something that is really special about this project is that we're actually working with a return client! We had such a wonderful experience working with this family a few years back to bring some construction elements into their home along with furnishings and accessories (check out that project here) and we're so grateful for the opportunity to work with them again on this stunning new construction, A to Z dream home.

Feeling inspired to start your dream home? Contact us today to learn more about our design services and see how we can work together to create a home where your life can thrive!

INSPIRED BY: SUNFLOWER SEASON

It's sunflower season in Texas! This is one of my favorite times of year as I just love the beauty and joy these flowers bring. When we moved here from Italy a decade ago (I can't believe it's been 10 years!), one of the first things that greeted me here in Texas were the sunflowers that were just bounding at every turn, so every time the sunflowers come out this time of year it takes me back to our first fall here in Texas and that special moment in our lives. I love nature and the natural beauty it brings and the sunflowers are a great physical reminder of sunshine, the beauty of Texas and nature as a whole and they inspire me to slow down and appreciate the simple beauty that surrounds us.
