It has been a busy but fun week here at HS! A very exciting trip to High Point Market, Drake home project updates, inspired by fresh finds in the design industry + HPMKT fashion looks favs - all in this week's weekly edit!
HS UPDATE: High Point Market Influencer Tour
Tyson and I were able to go to High Point Market together in North Carolina! High Point Market is the world's largest furniture market. We had some really exciting meetings for some things that are coming up (we can't wait to share more when we are allowed to, stay tuned!) We also had the opportunity to be a part of the High Point Markets Design Influencer Tour with Esteem Media. This was such an incredible opportunity to be able to share the behind-the-scenes of High Point Market with you all on stories and we will be sharing more about trends and wonderful things to see from the market. We were chosen along with 8 other people across the nation to be a part of this tour. It was so fun getting to know these other wonderful design influencers and celebrating these brands all together. A fun surprise at the market was being able to go to a boutique concert with Leon Bridges and catching Goo Goo Dolls another night from the rooftop of a vendor, it made it feel like we mixed in some fun dates while away from the kids!
HS PROJECT: Drake Project Update
The Drake project is wrapping up and it’s such a beautiful dream home that we have been working on with the client for a long time and we are so ready to see it complete! This home looks absolutely stunning and we are so excited! The unique light fixtures, textured millwork, incredible Chandler cabinetry throughout and large open windows makes this home a project we just can't get enough of. This project has been nothing short of incredible and we have loved working on this home with our amazing client.
HS INSPIRED BY: Fresh Finds In the Design Industry
This week we were inspired by so many amazing vendors at High Point Market that we were able to touch, see, and feel their amazing products to see some great items that can be perfect for our clients and customers at HS. They are products that we would recommend to all of you! With the High Point Market Influencer Tour, we were able to go for two days and walk through these showrooms and meet the product designers and owners of these great brands. One of our favorites that we were able to see and get inspired by was the collaboration of Kim Salmea for Crypton fabrics which was jaw-dropping good. Her new prints I'm mapping out to use in my own home remodel and clients as they are so next level, current, and fresh. Another highlight was Jamie Young, we love her global influence, texture play with her products, craftsmanship, and unique product design that is always leading the industry. I adored this wall at Universal Furniture, they had such a great way of explaining art on this beautiful wood console that had a cool architectural pattern to it. I loved the mix of large-scale art and the layered styling that they did in this space, it was all done so well! It was also such a cool experience to be able to go to Thayer Coggin where we were able to go to their furniture factory and see how their furniture is made from the Crypton upholstery they use to their beautiful woodwork detailing of each piece of iconic furniture they make. To be able to see the behind-the-scenes of this was super rad and it makes you appreciate all the details that go into each piece of furniture. We love to celebrate made-in-the-US furniture in our design projects and customer’s homes. We can't wait to share more about the High Point Market Influencer Tour and some other highlights we saw soon on the HS blog and Instagram.
