Such a fun week here at HS with the introduction of a new remodel project, tips from a press feature with Martha Stewart, a fun time at the Christmas Hotel, and our favorite HS candles, all in this week's weekly edit!
HS PROJECT: The Hudson Project
Our team has been working hard at lightning and brightening a remodel project in northern Dallas that previously had a lot of older, heavy finishes and darker color tones within it. We love seeing the beautiful design details coming to life with the arch on the cabinets on each side of the fireplace and how open the concept is through the kitchen to the beautiful entry with the newly finished staircase. We have loved working on this project for our amazing clients and can't wait to continue to take you along on the process of this home!
HS UPDATE: Martha Stewart Press Feature
Whether you decked the halls in November or are still putting up the finishing touches, be sure to check out our feature in Martha Stewart where we shared our favorite holiday tips with you all! One of my favorite tips is to attach satin ribbons to faux or real wreaths and hang them from each window. The constituency from window to window makes a strong statement but is subtle at the same time. I love doing it in my home, tying up our wreaths in our windows for a beautiful pop of color!
INSPIRED BY: The Christmas hotel
This week, we're inspired by the Christmas hotel! One of our favorite ways to kick off the holiday season is a tradition where we take our kids to the Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine, Texas. The hotel is decorated beautifully for Christmas and is so fun and festive. There are so many activities for the kids to enjoy for hours. Our kids love getting cold and in the snow at a hotel so their favorites are the indoor sledding and snowballs. We also love the North Pole express train in Grapevine, it's so charming with its decked out interior of the old vintage chain cars. Spending time snuggling with the kiddos and singing Christmas carols makes my day. Of course, I get so excited about all the design details from all the holiday decorating, it just makes my heart sing! If you haven't checked out Grapevine, Texas during the holidays, I would highly recommend it for anyone at any age. There is so much to do from seeing the beautiful decorations to the charming downtown strip, there are great restaurants and lots of great activities for kids. As a fun tip, you can go to the Gaylord atrium for free and enjoy the fun activities. I hope you are having fun making your season merry as the beginning of December kicks off!
FAVORITE THINGS: Candles
This week's favorite things come from the HS Store Candle Bar! We love the variety of fresh, seasonal scents of Balsam & Cedar and Winter White. Come by the HS Store and shop at the Candle Bar Monday - Friday from 10am - 6pm!
