The Weekly Edit -10/8

Today we are sharing an inside look at our dream new construction build, and recapping my recent trip to New York City that got me inspired from the stunning design to the incredible food - we’re diving into it all in the weeks weekly edit!

HS PROJECT: FLYNN PROJECT

This week we are taking you along on our site visit to one of our stunning projects, the Flynn Project! This is a beautiful new construction home that we are designing for a wonderful client, and we are so excited about all the progress that has been made. This home is taking shape with flooring going down, cabinets being painted, and tiles being installed. The space is coming together so beautifully with so many design layers that blend so effortlessly. The overall design for this home is a soft, transitional look with the incorporation of several natural-looking elements. Stay tuned to watch this space continue to come to life – we can’t wait!

Let us know if you are looking for some design help, we happily serve clients across the nation on new builds, remodels, and furnishings!

HS UPDATE: TRIP TO NYC

I recently went to New York City for the Better Homes and Gardens Style Maker Event. It was my second-year attending, and I am so grateful to be a Better Homes and Gardens Style Maker for 2023! It was such a great honor and privilege to experience an event like this and I was in great company with an incredible group of influencers, creatives, and entrepreneurs from across the nation that came to this event. Some of my favorite highlights of this trip were meeting with editors from the Better Homes magazine, getting inspired by the variety of amazing panels, and hearing from guest speakers like Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent. It was such a fueling experience and it was wonderful to be a part of this iconic event!

INSPIRED BY: NEW YORK CITY

I am forever inspired by New York City! I lived here during my final semester at school and have gone throughout the years for work and I just can’t get enough of this beautiful city. Every time I come, it has amazing energy, and creativity, and is so inspiring from the architecture to the design, and of course the food! It was so much fun to experience this trip with my friends Sarah from @thedaintypear and Heidi from @homebyheidi. We made such a great girls trip out of it! One of my favorite tips from this city this time was at Breakfast at Tiffany’s.They have an amazing brunch that you need to have booked in advance, but it was so worth it. I was super inspired by the St. Regis hotel, it holds such beautiful architecture and I was so lucky to get to stay there thanks to Sarah hosting us. One of my other favorite eateries was Milos, a Mediterranean restaurant, that was so delicious. It was just the right cuisine and I even tried octopus!

FAVORITE THINGS: ZARA LOOK

In spirit of my New York trip, this week’s favorite things feature pieces from my look for the Better Homes and Gardens event. I absolutely loved these equestrian pants, they are the best pants I have found in a really long time. I also loved the gold brass button detail; it was just too cute! The kitten heels I chose to pair with it were perfect with just the right amount of heel that I could comfortably wear all day long, and then an amazing chain detail that I thought was the perfect vibe for a head to toe look. I also love this tweed jacket for fall paired with a t-shirt to make it feel a little understated. To finish it off, I paired it with a neutral bag that brought the whole look together perfectly!
