Our 2024 Goals
We are so excited about this new year! We have such optimism about 2024, we just feel like it’s going to be such a great one not only for us but for all of you. It has some great energy to it already and we wish you all a happy start to the new year and hope it's going well for you so far! I take a few weeks at the beginning of the year to think about my goals for the year and I'm so excited to share some of ours that I have been intentionally thinking about. These are some fun goals, big goals, big dreams, and it's gonna take a lot of hard work but I am excited to tackle it as a team to make these happen.
Goal #1 - Exciting launch happening in 2024, years in the making!
We received some fun news the other day that something that we have been working on for years in the making is going to be launching towards the end of the year and we are so excited about this amazing announcement that we can't wait to share it with everyone! We can give you a hint that it's something that anyone can put in their homes anywhere and it's going to have a great signature HS style to it. We will continue to make lots of preparations throughout the year to make this project come to life and we can't wait to share when we can!
Goal #2 - New House Sprucing Online Store
We have been working on our HS online store and we can't wait to launch it this year. This is going to be a great way for us to share our signature HS look with anyone, anywhere across the country. Goal #3 - Fujikawa Home Remodel
For years Tyson and I have gone back and forth on whether we stay in our current home which has been such a wonderful space for our family to thrive in or if we move. Doing what we do with helping people in their homes we are always itching to move and create a new space for our family but honestly, we love our community with our schools and our neighborhood, we simply can’t leave all our community right now. So, we decided to stay in our home and do a big remodel this year. We are so excited about this. We will be remodeling a lot of spaces from the kid's bedrooms to the kitchen, great room, dining room, new furnishings, and more! We are so excited to take you guys along on the journey of our home and share a lot of tips along the way with everyone! Stay tuned for more.
Goal #4: Dream Design Projects
We are wrapping up some incredible new construction homes that are years in the making and starting others from scratch that will be years out from now in finishing up. These projects are throughout the nation with the best clients and best team! Creating these dream homes for our clients with intentional design is always top of mind at HS and is what we work on daily. We look forward to sharing more of the process of these beautiful projects throughout the year.
Goal #5 - Europe!
One of Tyson's signature husband moves is that he does little and big surprises for me often. He is so sweet and he always has something up his sleeve. On Christmas morning Tyson gave me a fun surprise that he will be taking me to Europe this summer. I am so excited about it! It is so dreamy to be able to step away and spend some time alone together, get inspired and have a lot of fun with each other. Whenever I travel I get so inspired by design and I'm already daydreaming about the wonderful things that I will see and ways I will incorporate them into future projects. Ever since Tyson and I lived in Italy together, going back to Europe feels like home so I can't wait to eat some of our favorite food and see some of our favorite places. One challenge that we are working on for this trip as a goal this year is to cycle through parts of Europe. Tyson and I are getting our workout on with training on our Peloton in the mornings to get ready to cycle together in actual Europe!
Goal #6 - Airbnb
Tyson and I love traveling and enjoying places by staying at Airbnb’s and we have always had a dream to have an Airbnb to be able to enjoy with family and to host others with a space we create. Our goal this year is to be able to make this dream happen. Stay tuned for more, we can't wait to share what we are up to on this one!
Goal #7 - Present
My last goal is one that I'm always trying to focus on and that is to be present and just to go a little slower to make sure to capture the joy of each day, each moment and each person that I am around. Our motto at HS is inspired design, joyful living and part of what I've learned with trying to do that is that if you can pause just a little and slow down a little more (which is hard if you’re a busy bee like me) you can really see the needs of those around you (including your own needs) and you can try to capture more joy and live more intentionally. This is a daily thing for me I am always trying to work on, it’s never something I’ll be perfect at but as my cute 9 year old loves to say: “Just try your best!”, so I’m going to lean into that on this one!
