Highland Ranch Primary Bedroom Suite Reveal

We promised boho vibes in our Highlands Ranch Project and today you’re going to see them!

We’re sharing the primary suite and bathroom which have a lot of boho vibes, more so than the other rooms in the home. But at the same time, these vibes don’t overpower that over all arching goal of the modern farmhouse.

We always love focusing on a feature wall and in this room that was this headboard wall. This is where we took this box of a room and turned it custom with our in-team carpenter. We did a board and batten treatment and it looks so stunning and adds texture to the rest of the items on that wall.

Often, you’ll see texture in a basket or pillow or a throw blanket. But in this room, you can also see texture in the wall art. This wall art is so beautiful and it has this cool wool texture that really invites you in and makes you feel warm and cozy.

On the other side of the room are these gorgeous custom window treatments that add texture and functionality to the space. There’s something so cool about draperies because they add really great warmth and it’s fun to see fabric up on a wall!

Another fun thing we did in this space was to mix wood tones. You’ll see the wood barn door; it doesn’t match the floors and we like that! There’s something about mixing metals or mixing woods - it adds more depth and design detail.

There’s also some really great hardware that acts as jewelry to this door and bridges into the bathroom space with that same color for the bathroom vanity.
