HS PROJECT: FLYNN PROJECT
Here's a first look at a new construction project here in the DFW area - our Flynn Project! This client came to us needing tile FAST and we were able to hop right into the design process and have had so much fun getting creative with tile in the various spaces throughout this project as well as helping with many other construction elements for this exciting new build. Our clients weren't afraid to step out and make bold decisions with their tile selections and we're loving how things are coming together - take a peek at a few of the design boards & site visit photos to see what we mean!
The bathrooms in this home are a big focus for us with this project and we love how each one has its own personality and unique look. From the moody green shower tile and cafe style penny flooring in the girls bathroom to the ditsy floral floor tiles and two-toned shower tile in the guest bath and the classic checkerboard floor tiles in the primary bath, each space is a design treat and we're so excited to share the final result.
The kitchen is another special space that we're working on in this home. Here, we're going for a soft, natural look and are incorporating elements such as stone pendants, natural woods and clay tiles. We're keeping the overall color scheme very neutral so that it can grow with our clients & their family in the years to come.
This project is moving along in the construction phase and we can't wait for our next site visit to share more of the progress on this home!

INSPIRED BY: TEAM TIME
I love getting the team together to hit pause and catch up! Everyone on our team is so incredibly talented, creative and busy with all of our various projects so it was nice to stop enjoy eachothers company. We also had a special little visitor join us for lunch which was too fun - we love when our team can bring their kiddo's along and show them this part of their lives! Since starting out in design years ago I always wanted to create a company where women could feel empowered to have a career and be a Mom. As a busy Mom myself of four kids, it’s a constant juggle but can be done so I’m always so happy when our team shares with me how much they love and appreciate that they can have a career at HS doing what they love while being the Mom they want to be at the same time. It warms my heart and fuels me to keep trying to build a company where these things matter and where opportunity can be had in this way. Creating an environment where our team can thrive while still pursuing their passions and living their lives outside of work is something that I want for everyone on our team! Tyson and I are so grateful for everyone on our team and look forward to these team gatherings where we can celebrate everyone and all of the incredible things that they do!
FAVORITE THINGS: SUNGLASSES
Honestly, I can not stop losing sunglasses! Anyone else with me? Between all of the go-go-go with work and the kids, my sunglasses just seem to sneak away... because of that, I feel like I am constantly looking for my next pair. While I tend to lean towards more inexpensive options since I misplace them so often, I will splurge on a pair here and there, too. When I feel like treating myself, my go-to for a nice pair of sunnies is almost always Free People. I love their aviator silhouettes, tortoise shell frames and the funky shapes they incorporate into their designs. For this week's favorite things, here is a round-up of my favorite sunglasses that I am loving at the moment!
